This session will first provide a brief introduction to what overlays and extensions are, and why there is a need to move to the use of extensions.
This will provide a background to the rest of the session where an overview is provided of some key extension techniques in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations that will hopefully assist developers in moving their own overlays to extensions.

Cruz Margaix, Technical Architect, LexisNexis
Cruz Margaix has nineteen years of experience working with the Dynamics AX technology. Currently she is a Technical Architect for LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions working on the Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations version of the LexisOne ERP solution. Prior to that, she has worked first as a developer and then as a technical lead/architect across each of the different versions of Dynamics AX, specialising on version upgrades and performance improvement.
Chris Lowe, Technical Architect, LexisNexis
Chris Lowe is a Technical Architect for LexisNexis working on the Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations version of the LexisOne ERP solution. He is based at the LexisNexis office in Leeds, UK, where he has been working on Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations for approximately the last 2 years. Prior to this he was working on the Dynamics AX 2012 version of LexisOne. Before his move to Dynamics AX related technologies he worked on .Net browser based applications in both the legal and banking industries. He has 20 years’ experience working in IT software development.
