"Why bother upgrading?", I hear many people say. "The system is working fine, users are happy, and I've got a thousand and one other things to do". While all of this may be true, aside from the regulatory implications for why you need to stay up to date, (thanks GDPR!), there are many business benefits for organisations to be on the latest versions of software.
There's a reason why 'change' has remained a hot topic in business – it can be overwhelming, isn't bereft of risk, typically has significant Capex or Opex associated with it, and its management can be challenging.

While the legal technology sector is ablaze with buzzwords such as innovation, blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, deep learning and most recently, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), it's telling that on scratching the surface there appears to be limited understanding of what these terms/technologies mean and how their adoption can help law firms operationally – in real terms.
