Using eSignature software in letters

Post by |

I have recently instructed a solicitor on a personal matter and expectedly, was emailed their client engagement letter for my agreement and signature. As it had been emailed in Word format, I found myself frustrated that I couldn’t sign the letter on the go. I had to wait until I got home to print, sign, and return the letter which took at least 5 minutes to do, and this ended up being three days after I’d received it – all avoidable if I could’ve done it when I first received it. Coming from the Visualfiles world, I couldn’t help but think of the awkward client-experience the solicitor had caused me; the client, when there was such a simple fix… an eSignature solution.

Using an eSignature solution (such as DocuSign) can be much easier for clients to sign and return with speed and ease, and when applied directly to Visualfiles, an integrated digital signing solution can make the whole process much more efficient and convenient.

As we know, a quicker turnaround from the recipient, means quicker case progress for the fee earner, all whilst remaining compliant.

The signed document can be automatically uploaded to the digital signature tool from within the workflow. The recipient would then be provided with a link to sign the document. Once signed, the document would be automatically saved into the case history of Visualfiles, and even trigger the next step in the workflow, all without user intervention.
In today’s modern digital world, removing barriers for your clients provides a greater client experience and increases the chances of them returning in the future.
